There are so many opportunities in the Hartford Region for personal and professional development, but not many that are actively geared towards young professionals. The Personal and Professional Development (PPD) Committee creates programming to change that. We want to hold events that allow YPs to network with each other while also having fun and learning something new.
PPD holds events throughout the year such as speed networking events, finance seminars, cooking classes, book club and more to get HYPEsters involved in hands-on activities. The events that PPD holds are meant to be fun and engaging, and also educational.
The committee plans to hold more creative events that speak to our membership’s personal and professional development in 2017. We’re looking for committee members who are interesting in coming up with fun, exciting, and informational ideas for programming.
We meet once a month throughout the year, either in person and through conference call, and also by email and Basecamp (a project management tool).
