Hanging Out With HYPE - Hartford Symphony Orechestra: Intermix Dark Wood

The Hartford Symphony Orchestra (HSO), Connecticut’s premier musical organization and second largest orchestra in New England, will be debuting its newest series, HSO: Intermix, with Dark Wood on Thursday, November 16th at 7:00pm at the Hog River Brewing Co. located at 1429 Park Street in Hartford.

This performance gives event goers the chance to enjoy drinks and conversation while also being up close with the HSO ensembles as they perform a unique program of contemporary compositions and rare, classical pieces. Works by Connecticut resident and composer Thomas Schuttenhelm will be showcased alongside movements from Hog River Breweryfamous classical composers.

Not an expert in classical music? Dark Wood is the perfect place to start! The HSO: Intermix series is designed to appeal to orchestra aficionados and amateurs alike. Hog River Brewing Co., one of the most popular hangouts in Hartford, offers a relaxed environment to hear works performed by Connecticut’s most elite musicians while sipping drinks and socializing with your friends after a long work day.

HSO: Intermix Dark Wood is open to the public and tickets can be purchased at $25 for general admission, $20 for HSO subscribers and HYPE members, and $15 for students with a valid ID. HYPE members just need to use the promo code HYPE17 to redeem the $20 pricing (offer valid beginning at noon on November 13th). Every ticket purchased (21+) includes a complimentary beer!
